Heathrow Airport : Train Services to and from Heathrow Airport
Traveling to and from London Heathrow by train is convenient, fast, comfortable and easy. The national rail network travels into central London from most towns and cities in the UK.
Tickets and Information
Rail information and ticket desks are in the arrivals areas of terminals 1, 2, 3 & 4. Heathrow Express Tickets can be purchased at Paddington station or on board the train with cash or credit card.
Heathrow Express is one of the quickest ways from Heathrow Airport into Central London. Trains depart every 15 minutes and the journey takes approximately 15 minutes to London Paddington and London's West End. The Heathrow Express operates from 05:10 to 23:40 daily.
The Heathrow Express services all four terminals at Heathrow Airport with one station for Terminals 1, 2, and 3 and a one for
Terminal 4. Heathrow Express Information line: 0845 600 1515.
For a inter terminal transfer service at Heathrow from terminals 1,2 and 3 to terminal 4 the Heathrow Express service is free. The Platform is on the lower level of the airport - If you do use the Heathrow Express for your transfer we recommend that you allow about 40 minutes for the walk from your terminal to the platform and then for the short trip across. The train takes just 7 minutes between the terminals but there may be a 15 minutes wait if you have just missed a train!
London Heathrow airport is also connected to the national and local rail network by four Rail air coach/ bus services providing express services between four stations:
Reading - Leaving Reading Station daily every 30 minutes. The journey to Heathrow takes about 45 minutes and coach service runs to all four terminals.
Watford - A service operates in conjunction with virgin trains from the North West Trains run between Watford Junction railway station and all terminals at Heathrow. The trains run every 1/2 hour from 05.30 to 23.30.
Working - The coach service provides a link from Working rail station to Heathrow - Linked areas include Basingstoke, Bournemouth, Guildford, Portsmouth, Southampton and Winchester to the airport. The Working Rail air operates every 30 minutes and takes just 30 minutes.
Feltham.285 - the 285 local bus service links Heathrow to Feltham rail station. From Feltham here are frequent trains to London Waterloo. The combined journey time of the bus and train is 1 hour and 40 minutes. The cost is under £5.00.
